In 2014, Bike Index took over BikeWise.org. We were excited to provide a new home to the mapping project, which had previously hosted bicycle crash and dangerous biking conditions reports, in addition to theft data.

We started putting Bike Index data into the map and thought we would be able to continue development of the project. However, we ran out of time and the project lost steam.

BikeMaps.org has been an active project for many years and we're excited to be partnering with them - they're awesome!

We're working on getting Bike Index theft data into BikeMaps, but there isn't a clear timeline on finishing the project.

We have GeoJSON data that is updated every day available for access - if you're interested in working with it, let us know!
