Distinguishing features
This bike has been found and recovered! Thank you Boulder PD! Single speed townie 1. My bike is white, it says Townie on the side vividly. The distinctive features will be the model 1 with a circle on the side and a 1 plainly at the bottom. It has a white bell with coral colorful motifs (may be gone) it has a new shiny metal silver chain and new tires with band white detail on the inner rims. the day it was stolen it was raining. the tire rims are electra and the new tires have the brand sun on them. It has a lot of large scratches/grey/black marks especially on the left front side and a few marks on the front wheel cover but the top marks can easily buff off/polished. It has white (hub caps) over the front and rear wheels. This was a beach bike for over ten years so it will have rust and evidence of corrosion on the underneath. The little bits that connect the wheel (brakes?)... those wires that merge in front of the front wheel are rusted- almost copper like. Brake line only on left handlebar. Black seat. This bike makes a very loud, piercing noise when one hits the brakes if the ground is wet/raining. This bike has no gears. I do not have the serial number. it has a light grey bike rack on the back that says townie on it as well. The frame is somewhat convex and arched, a unique shape. There are many small dents on this bike, esp on the hub caps. Two years ago I put new tires and a chain on it but it has been ridden only for 3 months since then so it will look like an old bike, but also shiny new elements.
