On September 8, 2026, at approximately 9:32 PM, I arrived at El Super located in City Heights (4421 University Ave). I locked my electric bicycle with a chain lock and removed the battery before going inside. I was inside the store for about 30 minutes. When I came out around 10:02 PM, my bicycle and the chain lock were gone. I spoke to a bystander outside, but he mentioned he did not see anything. I then approached a store security guard to ask if security footage was available. The guard checked and confirmed that the theft was captured on their surveillance cameras. However, he stated that store policy requires a formal request from the police department to release the camera footage.
