INCIDENT REPORT — STOLEN PROPERTY (E-BIKE) Type of Incident: Theft of Property (E-Bike) Date/Time of Theft: September 1, 2026, approximately 6:00 PM Location of Theft: 3709 Alabama Ave SE, Washington, DC 20020 (victim's home address) Location Property Was Last Tracked: 800 block of New Jersey Ave NW, Washington, DC 20001 Tracking Window: September 1, 2026 – September 5, 2026 Narrative: On September 1, 2026, at approximately 6:00 PM, the victim's electric bicycle was stolen from the residence located at 3709 Alabama Ave SE, Washington, DC. The e-bike was equipped with GPS tracking capability, which placed the device in the 800 block of New Jersey Ave NW, Washington, DC, between September 1, 2026, and September 5, 2026. Tracking subsequently became inactive, as the e-bike's battery discharged; the device cannot be relocated until it is powered on and reconnects to the network. The suspect(s) currently have no means of charging the unit, which may limit further movement of the property until power is restored. Also missing from the scene is a Kryptonite heavy-duty New York (NY) U-lock with a link-style closure, orange and black in color. This lock was secured to the e-bike at the time of the theft and was taken along with the vehicle.
