Stolen Reported stolen 2026 Velotric Gomad

I am reporting my Velotric GoMad electric bicycle as stolen from my shed in Mattapan. The bicycle is black/Obsidian in color. Before it was stolen, I had been riding the bike when I hit a pothole, which caused the front tire to pop. Because the tire was damaged, I brought the bike back to my property and left it inside my shed before going to sleep. I did not lock the bicycle inside the shed. When I woke up, I discovered that someone had entered my shed and taken my bicycle without my permission. My original Velotric GoMad battery was not taken and is still in my possession. At approximately 11:20 AM, I located an individual riding what I recognized as my stolen bicycle going down the hill in my neighborhood. I followed the individual and eventually confronted them when they were in front of my house. After I confronted the individual, they immediately sped away on my bicycle. The individual was able to power and ride the bicycle even though they did not have my original battery, and they were using the bicycle’s throttle while speeding away. I continued watching the individual as they rode away. The last place I saw the individual and my bicycle was at the Petrol Plus gas station in Mattapan. The individual rode through the Petrol Plus gas station area and then turned right onto the street after passing through the gas station. Because the individual traveled directly through the gas station, I believe there may be surveillance camera footage showing the individual, my bicycle, and the direction they traveled. There may also be cameras from nearby businesses, residences, or other locations along the route. The individual appeared to be a Black male with extremely short twists, gold stud earrings, and black shorts. I was able to get a good description of the individual, but I was unable to take a photograph while I was following and confronting them. I cannot confirm the individual’s identity, but I am providing the description to assist with the investigation and possible review of surveillance footage. My stolen bicycle is a Velotric GoMad electric bicycle, black/Obsidian in color. My original battery remains in my possession. I purchased the bicycle from Casa Bikes on August 13, 2026. I have the original sales receipt, photographs of the bicycle, and can provide the bicycle’s serial number and other identifying information to establish ownership. I also have the original battery available as additional identifying information. I am requesting that the bicycle be documented as stolen and that the information regarding the individual, the location where I observed them, their route toward Petrol Plus, and any available surveillance footage be included in the report. I would like the bicycle entered as stolen so that if it is recovered by police, located by a bicycle shop, or otherwise identified, it can be returned to me. I do not have the police report number yet. I will provide the report number as soon as it is issued to me.
