Stolen Reported stolen 2025 Trek Powerfly FS+4

On the morning of August 22, 2026, while traveling from Calgary to Edmonton, I discovered that two bicycles had been stolen from my vehicle while it was parked overnight in the hotel parking lot where I was staying. The bicycles had been secured on a hitch-mounted bike rack attached to my vehicle and locked with a cable lock. When I returned to the vehicle in the morning, I found that the lock had been cut and both bicycles were missing. I immediately notified the hotel staff and was advised to file a police report. I subsequently contacted the police and reported the theft. The hotel was also requested to preserve any available security camera footage covering the time period during which the theft may have occurred, and hotel staff confirmed that the footage would be retained for review. I took photographs of the scene, including the cut lock, the bike rack, and the parking area where the vehicle had been parked. These photographs are available and can be provided in support of the claim. At the time of submitting this statement, I am awaiting the final police file number and will provide it as soon as it becomes available, along with any additional information requested by the police or the insurance company.
