Stolen Reported stolen 2020 Trek Domane SL5

At approximately 1:34 a.m., an unknown individual entered the parking garage of my apartment building, The Clark, located at 3400 S. Clark Street, Arlington, VA, while riding an electric scooter. Surveillance footage shows the individual approaching a stairwell exit near the secured bicycle-storage room. A bucket was located near the stairwell door. The individual took the scooter outside through the stairwell exit and used the bucket to prop the door open, allowing re-entry through the otherwise secured door. After re-entering, the individual forcibly gained access to the secured bicycle-storage area by cutting through two layers of fencing/security material surrounding the bike room. The individual then moved to an area not clearly visible by the camera and spray-painted the surveillance camera with black spray paint, obstructing its view. The individual removed my locked 2020 Trek Domane SL5 bicycle, Purple Flip color, serial number WTU127QU0187P, along with the equipment and accessories attached to the bicycle, and exited through the previously propped-open stairwell door. The individual then removed/moved the bucket, allowing the door to close, and left the property with my bicycle. The bicycle had been secured inside the building’s controlled-access bicycle-storage room within the parking garage. Surveillance footage documenting the incident is available from the building’s security-camera system and contains exact timestamps of the individual’s actions. Building management can provide the surveillance footage to law enforcement upon request.
