My Black Xtracycle Edgerunner was stolen from my garage on the corner of Baker and Fulton). The thief broken into our shared apt. garage and used a edge grinder to cut two Kryptonite chain locks, one of which was connected to an Kryptonite floor anchor. The incident happened btw 1pm and 3pm this past Friday afternoon . I know it's a long shot, but If anyone saw anything suspicious in this area and time, or has any information about this theft, please text or email me. This was a brazen act by a highly motivated professional.
What I did not do and what learned from this crime:
1) Always register your bike with sfsafe.org
2) Get Kryptonite thief coverage
3) Get better locks that can't be cut with a grinder (although I think most locks can be cut)
4) Get ebike insurance
5) Get a tracking device (I had a Tile device on the bike but it was not connected to my phone at the time. Tile is not a true tracking device per se, but it's better then nothing.
6) NEVER UNDERESTIMATE A THIEF'S ABLITY TO TAKE YOUR STUFF
