NARRATIVE
At 8:30 pm on 8/15/2020 I went to the basement/garage of my apartment building to take out my compost. I passed my rented parking space (#4), which has a mounted bike rack on the wall and noticed that my bike was not attached. My boyfriend would have last seen the bike when he left earlier in the evening around 6 pm. The bike is a black Schwinn with lots of stickers including from SubPop, Antioch, Seattle Marathon, Wonder Woman, etc. The bike has black and white spotted grip tape and an added brake on the left side. I had locked the bike to the rack using a u-lock through the front wheel, the frame, and a helmet, then used a plastic/metal bike chain to attach the bike to the rack. This means that the bike would have to have been broken by cutting the chain and the u-lock should still be on the front wheel and frame, making the bike unrideable without the key.
