Distinguishing features
I got this bike off of an older gentleman named Anthony that was selling it on Craig's list. It was given to him by another man and I don't really know how many hands it has passed through before it got to me. I can tell you it was in pretty bad condition when I got it. There are multiple rust spots on the frame that while they don't affect the structural integrity, they should be sanded and dealt with before they spread to other parts of the bike. It was clear it had been left out in the elements for an extended period of time based upon all the rust on the frame and wheels. While I could possibly salvage the front wheel, the back wheel and 6 cog freewheel are just covered with layers of rust that (even if removed) may not allow it to function properly for my intended purpose of turning it into a fixed gear. So, I removed the wheels and all the rusted cables. It didn't come with any gears, derailleurs or brake mechanisms, just pretty much the frame, wheels, a headset and a stem. The most interesting feature so far has been the lack of any chain rings, crank or pedals. Oh and there is the rusted and seized bottom bracket that was lovely to disassemble. I put a new Shimano sealed bottom bracket in and augmented that with a crank and chain ring from a Bianchi mountain bike. Was able to score a cannondale stem and a set of Specialized bullhorn handlebars. With the help of a Velo Orange thread less stem adaptor it looks pretty cool. Got a 700c flip/flop hub back wheel and put a 700c State 40mm front wheel on. The whole project came together fine once I located all the parts.

Seatpost
Original seat post for this bike. The unique quality if this seat post is that all Kabuki frames are pressed together not welded. Therefore they don't employ normal seat posts or clamps. The seat post is actually a quill type that works in the same manner as a quill type headset. Kabuki
