It has three or four thin-ish claw-like scratches on the top tube from my youth, and the pedals are metal and sharp for grip. It has a little rust on all the metal components.

The velcro strap that accompanied the lock was left behind, so the thieves must have cut it since there was no way it could 'slip off'. Might have been a targetted crime since I have been using the same rack for the same days/times for the past two weeks.
