Description of incident
-
We were visiting Portland from our home of Mission, BC, CANADA.
We had 5 bikes locked up in the back of my pickup with a heavy padlock and 3/8" cable.
We parked at the Parking Lot for Ridge Trail in Forest Park approximately 1:30 on the afternoon of August 21st. There were
approximately 5 vehicles parked in the lot when we got there. We locked the vehicle and started our hike toward the top of Ridge Trail and back.
We arrived back to the parking lot just after 3PM and discovered that our cable had been cut through and my Giant mountain bike had been taken. Fortunately our remaining 4 bikes were left alone.
The thief also damaged my truck when taking the bike - scratching the bed side and smashing in the taillight on the truck.
It had High Roller 2 tires on it, a WTB seat and FOX Shocks. It is charcoal grey with a lime green '6.7' sticker on it.
Thank you!
