stolen Trek Mens

It's got some miles on it and has been an awesome way for transportation..I no longer drive or should say on a car. So tonight I just learned that my bike possibly could been involved in some type of theft in Pasadena California. The serial number a partial match. I've also learned that treks are common with the begining serial numbers starting with 1324. I was stopped by Santa Monica Police department tonight they were very cooperative meaning they were still with checking on whether or not the bike was stolen and still confused to me whether or not it is because I was able to register this bike under my name on bike index. Spoke to the officer about that and he even said they reference bike index as well to check on stolen bikes but he said it's not 100% so all-in-all they let me go with the bike and I'm trying to figure out what I need to do in order to keep this. Today is July 18th 2019 about 7:45 p.m.
