Bicycle was stolen in the Russ Building (235 Montgomery St) Parking Garage at the Pine Street entrance. Witnesses in the valet service say the theft occurred around 1-2p. This Felt F6 bicycle was one of two bicycles stolen at the same time. Building security has surveillance video of the bike parking area, and has filed a separate incident report, which to my knowledge hasn't been officially reported to the police yet. The surveillance video shows two thieves entering and using power tools to cut the bicycle U-locks and cable.
One witness from the valet said he saw them and described one thief to be a white male, in his late 20s/early 30s with tattoos on arm and neck. The witness said he approached them and the thieves said that they 'lost their key'. The witness then went inside to call building security, but by then the thieves had already taken two bikes. They left behind my helmet and the destroyed U-lock, which I currently have.
I work upstairs in the building and found out about the theft around 6p after I got off work.
