Distinguishing features
Yesterday (4/19) My black Linus Gaston 5 was stolen from outside my house. The bike was locked to a tree on Ellsworth St Between Broad and 13th. Whoever took it snapped the tree in half to take the bike. The bike itself is black with cream tires (the back wheel was stolen a week ago so it currently only has one front wheel). It was the older 5 speed model but the gears were disconnected as I converted it to a single speed. The gear lever was still attached to the down tube though. The bike was fairly customized and should be easy to recognize if seen. I colored over the LINUS logo years ago but it's mostly worn off, however traces of that sharpie should still be on the Linus logo. It has a Brooks saddle on it which was attached to the frame using bike chain covered in rubber. The bike has a black basket on the front, and brown pistol grips on the bars. Since it was stolen without breaking the lock, the black and gray Kryptonite U Lock should still be attached to the frame and front tire. Attached is a photo I took just last week when the wheel was stolen so this is exactly what the bike should currently look like.
