Description of incident
My bike was stolen from my apartment complex (Rose City Terrace) sometime between 11pm on 8/23 and 9am 8/24. It was chained to a stair railing near the front of the complex with a flex cable and u-lock. I'd placed the cable thru the tires and u-lock, but forgot to put the bike frame itself thru the lock, which is now still attached to the railing, along with the cut cable(s).
The bike is a black Kona "Smoke." It has a silver basket that I added to the front, but this could easily be removed by the thieves. There is a light reflector between the front frame and the basket. There is a bell on the left handle bar. The handle bars have been lowered, but due to a block inside the handle bars, cannot be lowered any further, although there are still risers on it. The wheels are thick. There are front and back tire splash guards. The tires are by CityCONTACT. The back of the seat says Kona on it. The gears are by Altus. The pedals have reflectors. It was a gift, bought by my Mom from her friend via her son. So unfortunately none of us have the serial number. The picture was taken before the basket was added.
