Description of incident
I locked by bike with a steel flex lock around 9:30am to a metal signpost on the sidewalk in front of motorcycle parking on 18th Street between Castro and Hartford St (approximately in front of Poesia restaurant) and went into Reveille Coffee to work for a few hours. I came out at 11:40am to go to an appointment and my cut lock was on the floor with no bike. Bystanders said they hadn't seen anything, nor had any shop keepers. I took photos (of the cut broken bike lock on the ground), then retrieved the lock (which I have) and went to my appt. The bike is easy to identify, as the wheels are smaller than the frame, the handlebars are wide, the seat is locked to the frame, and there is a rear carriage-rack. I have several photos of the bike, if that's helpful. There was no serial number that I ever could find, as I bought it from someone off craigslist in 2011 (seller seemed legitimate, sold it from his place in Richmond, had invested in the bike - shimano gears as an example). Happy to provide photos and any other info that's helpful.
