It is a silver folding bike from DownTube. They're rarely distributed beyond NY & PA, and I've never seen another one in Wisconsin. Also I noticed that in the places where my bike was scratched there was a red coat of paint underneath the silver.

mid-day bike theft in front of well-travelled hardware store. Thief tried and failed to break cable lock of my GF's bike. In a panic he used the bolt cutters on the tumblers of my lock and used it to leave the scene.
