Heard loud bang outside my apartment. Checked and saw bikes were still there. Woke in the morning and bike was gone. Thief made one attempt with a rusty tool (rust around first cut) and was unsuccessful, then got another tool and made a clean shear through rubber and braided cable. Bike was behind stairs on back porch, facing an off street parking lot with one entrance and exit. There is no foot traffic and bikes are hard to spot even if someone wandered through. Based on this information I highly suspect my neighbors or their friends.
