I locked my bike up with my cable lock at 8:00AM on 7/30/2018. I came back to where I locked my bike and saw the cable was cut. I called the police and filled out a police report. They took the cut cable and reported the bike missing. They also mentioned that they were in pursuit of a person who was suspected of stealing bikes earlier that day. The police described the person as a middle-aged, Caucasian (around age 40) man who had a red beard and a colorful backpack.
