Distinguishing features
This is an old road bike with the Supercycle brand name owned by Canadian Tire. My family found it abandoned on the side of the road near our acreage in central Alberta in 2001. I believe it dates back to the 80s or 90s, as it has "Made in Canada" on its serial number sticker. After 11 years stored in our shed, I brought it to Edmonton, Alberta when I moved there for University. I refurbished it, installed new tires and re-taped the handlebar with green handlebar tape, as well as add a quick-release front brake. I crashed it a while later, destroying the wheels, which I replaced with two much lighter AlexRims 700c wheels from MEC. I also installed a new cassette and new chain and new seat post. Most recently I replaced the pedals with ones that have clips that I can slip my runners into. I also added a new silver Filzer rear pannier rack.
