Distinguishing features
There are two very unique features to distinguish my bike. 1) It has a SALAMANDER logo on the deep purple frame. 2) The handlebars have bar end adapters pointing up (see picture).
-3 speeds, 7 gears
-Regular pedals, no toe clips
-I think one white reflector on each wheel
-Silver kickstand with no plastic support at bottom.
-Silver brake levers
-Zip pouch attached to the back
-Had equipment installed for tracking speed mounted on the handlebars with wire runs to the front or back tire (can't recall which)
-Two water bottle holders
-Rear red light and a mount for front light without a light actually attached
-Recently replaced chain and cassette
-I doubt they were stupid enough to leave them on but it had multiple wristbands attached to the handlebar for various races/tours from the 90s.
Has some variation of cowhorn handlebars. The core handlebar is 100% straight, no curve, and then on both ends, the cowhorns shoot up at a 90 degree angle (not a smooth curve into them like most cowhorns). The cowhorns have no grip on them.
This bike was passed down to me from my dad. He bought it in 1989. I don't know the exact model but based on google searches it looks most like an SM800.
