Description of incident
Bike stolen from inside the locked basement of an apartment building at the corner of 20th and Lexington, at some point over the past 1-2 weeks. Unfortunately (for me), it had been left unlocked because it was in a basement that only residents have access to. It's unclear how the person responsible got into the basement. They would have had to make their way through 2 locked doors: one at either the front or rear entrance to the building, and another into the basement; these doors are always locked, and only residents of our building have keys. The bike had a flat, and would need to have been carried, so whoever did it would have been pretty conspicuous (and given the small number of residents, if they had run into someone, it would have been obvious that they didn't live here).
