Description of incident
Bike was locked with a cable to the fence outside Farley's in Roswell, NM overnight on May 22, 2026. Stolen sometime overnight. The thief did not cut the cable — they stretched/manipulated the cable and removed the bike (likely by getting a wheel off or working it through), leaving my lock behind, which I still have. Rare yellow Montague-built BMW folding bike (Bi-Frame design, folds in half), early-mid 1990s, "BMW" in white lettering on the frame, no BMW roundel logo. A saddle bag containing Phat Tire (North West Arkansas Bike Shop) gloves was attached at the handlebars and was taken with the bike. I have multiple photos of the bike from my recent trip. Distinctive and rare — unmistakable if it surfaces for resale.
