Description of incident
1. Incident Description: On May 4, 2026 at approximately 4:37 PM, my wife’s bicycle was stolen from the front lawn of our residence at 1712 61 Street SW, Edmonton, AB, T6X 0W3. I was cleaning out the garage and had several items temporarily placed on the front lawn/driveway area, including multiple bicycles. I was inside the garage with my back toward the driveway/front lawn area and did not witness the theft in person. After reviewing my Nest security footage, I confirmed that an unknown female walked past the bicycles to approximately the middle of my driveway, turned around, walked back to the bicycles, took my wife’s bike, mounted it, and rode away southbound on 61 Street SW. Suspect: younger female, long dark brown hair, light grey oversized hoodie/sweater worn off one shoulder with black top/strap visible, black pants, dark shoes, and large light-coloured/cream tote-style shoulder bag. Stolen bike: 2015 Specialized Women’s Jynx 650, charcoal/dark grey with pink accents, medium frame, black grips, front suspension, disc brakes, 650b/27.5-inch wheels, large white “SPECIALIZED” branding. Serial number: WSBC6061082064. 2. Do you know who committed this crime? No. I do not know the suspect’s name or identity. No licence plate or vehicle was observed. She arrived from the north on foot along 61 Street SW. 3. Unauthorized transactions? No. No financial cards were stolen or involved. 4. Evidence left by suspect? No physical evidence was left behind that I am aware of. 5. Surveillance footage? Yes. The theft was captured on my Nest exterior driveway camera and garage camera. I saved the original video clips and screenshots. EPS can obtain them directly from me. 6. Anything else relevant? The suspect’s actions appeared deliberate, as she walked past the bicycles, turned around, returned to them, and then took the bike. The bike has black handlebar grips changed from the original pink grips.
