My son rode his bike to Good Shepherd church on 3/30/26 to support the Girls Volleyball team at a home game. He and his friend locked their bikes up at the bike racks by the East side of the church near the Cloister walk/alley of the church/school where they usually lock them up for school. They used a cable lock and locked both bikes up together.
They arrived on campus at approx 7:50 pm. They walked to the gym (near 6th Ave & Elizabeth entrance). They went to retrieve their bikes approx 9:05 pm. The cable had been cut in several places and my son's ebike was stolen. His friends bikes was not stolen. My son had the battery with him. It was not on the bike. The bike was a new gift received for Christmas in Dec 2025. We spoke to the church and school and they have video of the person riding up on a bike, cutting the lock and taking my son's bike. The man left the bike he rode up on near a neighbors house and the neighbors turned it in to the school/church and that bike was given to the police. The video footage was also given to the police.
