Bike was immobilized in back parking lot of a condo complex, but not affixed to the usual rail due to the accumulation of feet of snow obstructing access. Since the snow fell, I removed the battery in addition to immobilizing the bike, but literally on this day the battery release lock broke, preventing me from removing it. The parking lot does not have controlled access. The bike was apparently lifted onto a car-mounted bike rack, according to the thief (with whom I corresponded when he tried to sell it on Facebook Marketplace). The thief said he broke the screen of the ebike in loading it onto the rack.
