On February 10, 2026, at approximately 9:57 PM, I arrived at the Homeeatrestaurant in Downtown San Jose to collect a takeout order. I parked mybicycle directly outside the restaurant’s front window. Because the storefrontis fully transparent and I anticipated a very brief transition, I left the bicycleunlocked.I entered the restaurant to retrieve my food and returned to thesidewalk approximately two minutes later, at which point I discovered thebicycle was missing.I immediately spoke with the restaurant owner, whoallowed me to review the establishment’s CCTV footage. The recording showsthe following:9:59 PM: A suspect exited the elevator located directly in front ofthe restaurant (which serves the parking garage above the business).Thesuspect stood nearby for approximately 10 seconds, observed that the bicyclewas unsecured, and promptly took possession of it.The suspect was last seenfleeing on the bicycle, traveling North on 4th Street
