My e-bike was stolen from my apartment building (Eleanor Apartments in Roosevelt) in the past few days. I last rode the bike on 1/5/2026. It was found to be stolen on the morning of 1/12/2026. Multiple other bikes were missing from the same "secured" bike facility, so the robbery was likely last night.
The bike was secured to a rack via a chain, with a green helmet attached to the chain. The criminal disassembled the bike rack and slid the bike off. The tools used to disassemble the rack were found in the room, alongside another bike which was likely being stolen (it had multiple padlocks on it and was upright nearby).
The apartment management is going to comb security footage from outside the room to find when the burglaries occured.
