I was working out inside the Eugene Family YMCA while it occurred. An individual came by and was reportedly bashing on the lock of a bike (my bike), riding off with it and leaving the lock at the scene. The bike was parked at the bike racks directly in front of both the YMCA and the front desk. After finishing my workout at 9:30 I asked the front desk if they had access to the security footage and they told me it wasn’t something they have access to. They told me they were informed of it being stolen at 8:45 and had the broken lock handed to them. I was unable to speak to any of the witnesses. There are camera’s out in front of the YMCA that would’ve caught this, I just need to find out how I can obtain the footage.
