On July 19, 2025, my Velotric Summit 1 e-bike was stolen from the bike rack just outside the interior lobby of my apartment complex at 12121 W. Olympic Blvd., Los Angeles. The lobby is located well within a large, secured complex that includes luxury apartments and upscale offices. The area is not visible from the street and is monitored by security staff and video surveillance. Staff were present, and I believed the bike would be safe for the brief time I left it unattended while retrieving a fresh battery from my unit.
