My bicycle was stolen from the garage of my apartment building on Sunday, March 16, 2025, between 12:00 PM and 12:30 PM. The building owner, who has access to the motion-activated security camera in the garage, reviewed the footage and identified the time window. The bike is clearly visible in an image taken at 12:00 PM, but by 12:30 PM it is no longer there. No motion was detected or recorded during that period.
The stolen bike is a Co-op Cycles CTY 1.2, size Medium, in Matte Black (purchased from REI). It is my personal bike and had the following accessories attached at the time of the theft:
Saddle bag containing bike tools, including a multi-tool
Phone holder mounted on the handlebars
Two yellow bottle cages
Kickstand
Garmin computer mount
Kryptonite U-lock with cable
Additional combination cable lock
The bike had been secured with both a Kryptonite U-lock and a combination cable lock. After the theft, I found both the cable and the combination locks cut and left at the scene, indicating that the thief forcibly removed the bike.
It’s unclear how the thief entered the garage, but they may have accessed it through the main garage door or another entry point. There is no evidence of forced entry into the building itself.
