Distinguishing features
I replaced the standard black tires with bright red-orange airless tires from Tannus. The saddle was changed to a wide thick seat as seen in photos. On the lower tube there's a holster for my FoldyLock, and there's a cupholder and phone mount on the handlebars. Otherwise it's the same as a standard Ozone 500 Women's 700C RS3000 Road Bike purchased from Academy. Description of incident
The bike, easily identified by bright orange tires, which are aftermarket airless tires I installed. ... It's parked in the same spot every day, hanging from the dedicated bike rack, in a fenced-in area of the first floor of the parking garage at Sterling Heights. Always hung it in a spot directly in front of the security camera. ... The last two photos show the bike rack it was stolen from - a close-up of the bar it was hanging vertically on (adjacent to the small black bike seen cable-locked) and a wide view from the perspective of the security camera on the ceiling. The lock is not quite a U-lock but a "foldylock", a heavy duty solid metal foldable lock with a tough tamperproof shell and reinforced bearings that requires a key and was looped around the tube and the metal bike hanging station (orange metal rack in photos). Happened on Christmas Eve, the building was scarcely occupied, and upon reviewing new evidence, the burglar loaded it into a grey van driven by an accomplice (license plate illegible). Sadly I have no record of the serial number - presumably it's on the bottom of the bike and I don't have any pictures of the bike upside down. At the time it was stolen, the bike's handlebars sported a cupholder and phone mount. The bike was stolen at Sterling Heights - 15655 Market Hill. Not sure why the map on Bike Index shows a different area. Coordinates: 29°35'25.5"N 98°37'20.4"W Incident Report #SAPD-2024-0039471 Case #SAPD-24006363
