stolen Trek Elance 300

The bike wasn't mine -- it was my boyfriends, so I don't have as much info as I would like. It's a red 16 speed Trek Elance 300 with Shimano mountain bike gears. He doesn't have the serial number anywhere as far as I can tell. The bike was on the side of my house (he left to hike the PCT & his friend was going to come pick it up to store it at his house since I don't have the room or a place to lock it) & it was stolen Sat night. At 11ish it was still there, but by 8:30 am Sun morning it was gone.
