Description of incident
-
At roughly 8:20AM this morning, I locked my green Canyon gravel bike to a bike rack in the Northeast lot at the Tesla Factory
in Fremont, CA. When I left work at roughly 5:00PM the bike, my helmet and lock were gone without a trace. The location it
was locked in the rack stood empty. Statement provided to Tesla Fremont Factory Security Team outlined below. This team
will have footage of the theft, many cameras in the area, and additional information.
"Today, 4/21/2023, my Canyon Grizl gravel bike was stolen from the Northeast lot. Exact model is Canyon US GRZ SL 7 1 by
21 M gn. Bike is “Matcha” green and grey, has plastic fenders from company “Ass Savers” installed. Front fender has a white
vinyl sticker that says “mystery machine” on it. Photos attached. Plenty of cameras in the area. I entered the northeast lot
turnstile at 8:20AM and left at roughly 5:00PM. Bike would have been stolen within that window. Photos of where the bike was
locked, Northern side of the Eastern rack, attached. The bike had a black Bern helmet locked to it with a black Kryptonite U-
Lock. ZAP Tag on front tire is # 10689522. Could also be 10531509 or 10519020 but pretty sure it was # 10689522. Pedals
are candy blue crankbrothers clipless eggbeater pedals (shown attached). Not the black platforms shown in the below. Thank
you for anything you’re able to do to support. Will submit a police report shortly."
