I am part of the McGill Cycling Team and I went training with my boyfriend Sunday September 23, 2012 in the afternoon. At the end of the ride, we stopped at 3:05 pm at Marche J V T 181 Sherbrooke O, Montral, H2X 1X4, 514-284-4404. My boyfriend went inside the store to make a purchase. I was planning to go straight home since I had to use the washroom but I decided to turn back and wait outside to watch his bike that was inside the front entrance of the store. The store has two entrances and his bike was in the first doorway. After waiting a few minutes, I brought my bike into the first doorway entrance and went inside to tell him to hurry up. I was only 2 meters away from my bike and I could see it through the glass doors. There was surveillance video of the man and you can see that within 7 seconds, the man grabbed my bike (Cervelo S5) and rode off with it. My boyfriend and I rushed through the entrance doors to chase after the man but he was already biking away too fast. The bike is size 51 cm (relatively small), made of full carbon fiber, Dura-Ace components, Fulcrum wheels, Specialized saddle, Shimano clipless pedals, 1 water bottle cage and 1 water bottle. The bike is glossay black, with red, white and blue accents on top tube and fork. The bike frame has a distinctive wide, aerodynamic frame with white, bold letters written on downtube with "Cervelo" and "S5". The serial number is SNS5C12A00609. The man who stole my bike is possible of native background, had neck-length black, greasy hair, around 35-45 years old, approximately 160lb, 5'6-5'8 tall and walks with a distinctive way of this arms. He was wearing a black hoodie and black track pants with white running shoes. He rode off with my bike up Avenue du Parc and through the first alley way beside Quality Hotel. I called the police immediately and tried looking all over for him and my bike but no luck. I would really like to find the guy and my bike so I can continue training on the McGill Cycling team and get justice for what happened.
