stolen 2011 Trek 7.3FX

Last night (5/3/13, 7:15pm) after speaking on a panel at the Multicultural Center on UC Berkeley's campus, I was walking about 25 ft away from where I parked my bike. I noticed a man with a red backpack walk up to the bike racks and begin to unlock a bike. After I heard the lock fall to the ground, I looked up just as HE JUMPED ON & REALIZED HE HAD STOLEN MY BIKE! He began to speed away as we chased after him for two blocks with no success. There were many witnesses while another friend helped me report the incident to campus police with no immediate luck.The reason why this same bike means so much to me? Two years ago, 31 one people donated $ to help my partner purchase this bike as a surprise for my 31st birthday. Here are photos of me on my birthday walking out the store with it in June 2011.
