Description of incident
At 6:30 pm on Friday, June 9, 2017, I chained my bicycle to an invertedU bicycle lock rack at the corner of Wisconsin Avenue and M Street NW (3200 M Street NW). I passed by the bicycle again at 8pm and saw it still locked up. When I returned at 9pm, the bicycle was gone. The lock that I had used had been cut in half and was lying on the sidewalk next to the spot where the bicycle had been. The bicycle is a road bike with drop (curling) handlebars; the frame is silver and red; the handlebar tape is black; the saddle is grey and red; and it is a singlespeed bike with a chain tensioner added. (The chain tensioner is in the position that a bicycle deraileur usually occupies; it keeps the chain from being too slack.) The bike's front tire is red and black, and the rear tire is blue and black.
