On Saturday 2/5/22, my bike was stolen from our locked storage locker in the underground garage of 1957 N Fairfield Ave at 4:30pm. The thief was let in by two tenants entering the building on the west side. He then went down to the garage and started browsing the bike selection. My storage unit was locked with a Masterlock outdoor padlock that he cut (missing when we returned). The bike itself was attached to the chain link side of our storage locker with bungee cords. The bike was a $700 men's matte black Trek FX 2 Disc, size XXL. We had just taken something else out of the locker at 4:15pm and locked it immediately afterwards. He then took another bike nearby and walked them up to our east lobby. After review of security camera footage from a neighbor, we saw that the thief put the bikes in a U-Haul truck in the alley.
