Description of incident
My friend and I locked our bikes up (mine was a navy Rocky Mountain 1999 Fusion with lime green text on the side, his was a black Shimano mountain bike) at the corner of 5th Ave and Centre St SE, next to the Bow, at around 12:30PM. There was an elevated platform with places to lock bikes, and there were a few bikes already there (around 4). We used cable combination locks, locked both our bikes to each other and to the bike racks, my friend locked his helmet up as well, and we left with our group of friends to go to Prince's Island. We went back at around 2:15PM, and there was no trace of our bikes, locks, or helmet. The other bikes at the racks were still there. There may have been private CCTV footage around that area, but I couldn't find any that was publicly accessible. For a more detailed description of the bikes and helmet: my bike (the one I am filing a report for) has a mud shield attached to the bottom of the frame, front JETT suspension, a blue bell attached to the handlebars, a red reflective light attached to the bottom backside of the seat, and a wire bottle holder. There are 3 speeds on the left, 8 on the right, and the left-hand gears don't work well. My friend's bike was all black with a white Shimano label on the side, and his helmet was a round black skateboarding/rollerblading helmet.
