My bike was stolen from the garage in our apartment building. One side of the garage is fenced. The garage has additional area which is secured with a fence from floor to ceiling and is used as a bike storage. There was only one item in store - my bike. Although a thief could climb into a garage in the area where it is fenced, but they would not be able to do the same for bike storage area. It was either someone from the inside, like a maintenance person who has the key for it, or a thief had to have a key, or fabricate a key on spot, to open the lock to bike storage area. (See attached pictures). If one was able to fabricate the key to open storage area, he/she was not able to use the same technic for U-Lock, which was cut with some mechanical tool.
