stolen 2014 Xtracycle 27D

My light blue XtraCycle cargo bike (with an BionX electric assist system: Etched with #124) and charger was stolen right out of my carport in North Magnolia. We know, from neighbors' surveillance cameras that it was put into the back of a white pickup (with, it looks like, another bike or two) at around 11:30am in the morning, Monday, 12/12/16. It was locked to itself with a very heavy duty bike lock, but was simply lifted into a white pickup truck (Dodge Ram? w/ a Leaping Trout logo) to be ground off later. We know that this was the case because, my husband actually saw a guy riding my bike along the canal in western Fremont and he had the grinding device attached to the bike. He intercepted the guy (who was described as being caucasian, "grubby," bearded, and maybe in his 30's), but the guy took off when he realized that he was found out. He used the electric assisted to book it out of there and my husband was able to follow him as he headed towards downtown on Westlake until he got behind and lost him around China Harbor.
