Description of incident
I locked the bike to a large, thick light pole next to a parking meter at 2nd & Stewart in downtown Seattle in front of Long Provincial Vietnamese restaurant. I double-checked the lock to ensure that it was secure, and it was. I ate lunch at the restaurant with friends from 12:05-1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 19. When I came out the bike and lock was gone. I checked with restaurant staff, local businesses, a street cleaner, and a police officer who was directing traffic at a construction site, and nobody saw anything. I filed a report with Seattle Police Department and have checked Craigslist and OfferUp and will continue to monitor those sites.
