Distinguishing features
It is a 1985 Trek 620, a mid-80's racing/touring bike. Bike in good condition with some small rusty nicks and scratches, especially on the top tube and around the tab shifters (which are on the frame), Nitto Albatross handle bars, Rivendell unshellacked cork grips and mostly Shimano components, cheapish brown seat, no fenders, two water bottle cages (one silver, one blue and severely bent), good nubby tires, black cable tubes. It's a really nice medium/dark blue with shimmery, silvery undertones.

Description of incident
Stolen from our bike room (behind two locked doors!). The only time I ever left it unlocked -- all the other bikes in the bike room were unlocked and I figured it would be fine for a few hours. Wrong. I know it was stolen a few years ago, now, but it has huge sentimental value and I hold out hope I might come across it. I reported it stolen on the Chicago Stolen Bike Registry immediately (http://chicago.stolenbike.org/node/194794) but didn't find out about this other registry until recently.
