The brakes were retro-fitted to also be the shifters of the bicycle - very rare, so this would be a dead giveaway. I believe my bike was sold in Los Angeles on Craigslist sometime in December: http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lgb/bik/5333993018.html

I locked the bike to the rack provided by Saver's, shopped for 30 minutes, and when I came out of the store, my bike had disappeared.
