Bike was thought to be locked but was in a hurry and failed to pass the lock around the top bar to secure it. It was on the street in front of the Amazon building in downtown portland. I had passed by it a few times after leaving it there and failed to notice it wasn’t actually locked so it wasn’t clear unless you were really looking. The thief was obviously trolling around looking for this flaw, and was already riding a white bike when he knocked my bike to see it wasn’t actually locked. Then tried to ride both bikes, failed, and crashed hard at least two times. I know this because there is camera footage of the incident. The bike was discovered missing 1 hour later.
