Distinguishing features

Custom paint job - metallic black with purple decals. Finished painting 7/29/18. Original color was red with white decals (picture of bike before re-paint is included). Original parts except for seat, grips, tires, tubes, stem, and brake pads. Not really sure what model Specialized this is (when it was purchased new, the labels were scraped off to deter thieves) but it shares components with the '89 HardRock, '90 RockHopper, and '90 HardRock Sport, so I'm just calling it an '89 Rockhopper. Full chromoly direct-drive frame too. I mention this because I'm not sure what model the serial number says it is. Could be a bike shop assembled bike. Has a chromoly 150mm Tioga T-bone stem. Purchased by my father somewhere in Los Gatos, CA in Fall 1989.
