Exact date of theft is not known. (probably Dec 2013, maybe a few months later). Bike had been stored in Public Storage, Lafayette St., Santa Clara. Public Storage unit was secured with a combination padlock. It is probable that the padlock was picked, either by a brute force attack (10000 possible combos) or by a master key (if supported on that lock). It is suspected that someone with access to the premises is the thief: they would have had to access the premises twice: once to do the theft, and another time to recon the location (to find the unit number where the bike was being stored).
