On 4/11 at 6:05pm I arrived at my girlfriend's apartment at 1818 D St, locking my bike to the rack with a U Lock around the front steering column. The next morning, we left via the back staircase to go on a run. When we returned at 11:50am on 4/12, I realized the bike was gone. The U-Lock remained, leading me to suspect the thief removed the handlebars and slipped the front column out of the U-Lock, bypassing the lock entirely.
