Distinguishing features

1968 Vintage French bicycle with steel frame and lugs. Paint is original with hand painted lettering and pin striping. Originally silver/grey now turning slightly ‘gold-ish’ under paint. Crankset also stamped "Rene Herse”. Stem is very unique, hand filled from solid billet with a hollowed space in the centre of the horizontal portion of the stem. Rear chrome steel rack and a Nitto F-15 handlebar rack with a Berthoud handlebar bag. Value about $5,000-$6,000 USD, Highly collectable and easy to sell
